Orlando's Cole Anthony came in averaging 20.2 points per game, but he went 0-for-5 from 3-point range and was limited to 10 points. Anthony, the third-youngest player in Magic history (behind Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard) to post his third 30-point game, also grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals.

The Magic lost Wendell Carter Jr. to a left eye abrasion suffered in the third quarter. Carter Jr. finished with nine points and five rebounds in 18 minutes as his streak of four straight double-doubles ended.

Terrence Ross scored a team-high 17 points off the bench for Orlando, which went 4-for-33 from beyond the arc. Mo Bamba contributed 14 points and nine rebounds and Franz Wagner chipped in 10 points, seven rebounds, and six steals.

Orlando allowed just 97.8 points per game over its previous four outings, but the Nets built a 65-53 halftime lead as Aldridge had three triples and 13 points during Brooklyn's 37-point second quarter.
