The main elements of the basketball section of Barcelona had a meeting with the media today and many interesting facts were shared.
Juan Carlos Navarro, the general director of the basketball section, revealed that he's had conversations with Marc Gasol about the possibility of him joining Barcelona.
"There've been conversations with Marc", Navarro said. "But there's no real negotiation although he hasn't given any refusal. He knows our interest but he has the last word on everything. I can't deny that I'd like to have him", Navarro explained.
Josep Cubells, another one of the top executives of Barcelona's basketball section, shared some new information about the new Palau Blaugrana.
"The new arena should be ready for the 2025-2026 season and will have a capacity of 15.000 spectators", Cubells said to the reporters. "We want to host a Euroleague Final Four and the 15.000 people capacity is the requirement for that type of event", Cubells explained.
