Virtus Segafredo Bologna (5-2) only needed a good last quarter to beat bottom-placed Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro (1-6) 88-75 (18-21, 30-20, 17-18, 23-16) at the Paladozza and recover from two consecutive road losses to Napoli and Tortona.

Sergio Scariolo's team played without JaKarr Sampson, who is recovering from a muscle injury, and Amar Alibegovic who has been injured to his left hip.

The game was essentially decided in the last quarter when Virtus went on a 5-0 run that gave them an 11-point lead (70-59).

Until that point, Pesaro were giving the reigning Italian champs a hard time, leading by 21-18 at the end of the first period and going strong on the offensive glass.

The winners had five players in double digits. Kevin Hervey and Kyle Weems scored 18 apiece for Virtus who dominated the paint with 18 offensive rebounds.

Milos Teodosic went scoreless for the first 34 minutes of the game, without attempting a single field goal! When all was said and done, the Serbian "magician" finished with 2 points, 9 assists and 2 turnovers in 27 minutes of action.

39-year-old Argentine legend Carlos Delfino scored 14 points in a losing effort for Pesaro who remain in last place.
