According to a report from Israeli website Ynet, former Zalgiris Kaunas head coach Martin Schiller is one of the main candidates for the Hapoel Jerusalem head-coaching job.
After firing coach Oren Amiel, currently, Yotam Halperin is handling the situation as interim head coach. Per Ynet, Schiller is the main candidate for the Israeli team but if they won't be able to strike a deal with the coach, other two 'foreign' candidates are also in the mix.
Martin Schiller was fired by Zalgiris Kaunas after the first two losses in the Euroleague season and he's currently without a job. Before his experience with Zalgiris Kaunas, Schiller was the head coach of Salt Lake City Stars, Utah Jazz G League affiliate team.
In 2020 he was also named G League Coach of The Year.
