Alec Peters underwent a knee operation and he will recover for six-seven weeks, according to Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz's announcement.
Via the report, the recovery period will depend on its evolution.
The surgery was performed in the USA, in Chicago specifically.
Peters has been dealing with a meniscus injury since the preseason but originally the club decided to follow a conservative treatment without opting for surgery. The treatment, though, didn't give the result, that the team was looking for, and the surgery remained the last option.
With Vitoria's club, the 26-year-old forward played 33 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, posting 11.5 points (56.2% 2PT, 44.7% 3PT, 91.5% FT), 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 12.5 PIR.
