EuroLeague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary sanction pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 6 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.

As per the announcement, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv were fined for inappropriate fans' behavior. For the very same reason, both teams were fined after Round 2.

This time, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens have been sanctioned with a fine of €10,000 for the lighting of flares inside the arena on the occasion of their home game against Anadolu Efes Istanbul under Article 29.2.e) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.

Previously, the Greek club had been sanctioned with a €5,000 fine.

Meanwhile, Maccabi got a milder fine, but it was related to the fans' behavior as well. Back in October, Maccabi got a €1,500 fine.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has been sanctioned with a fine of €2,000 for the throwing of objects onto the playing court on the occasion of its home game against FC Barcelona under Article 29.2.h) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
