Lamar Peters is joining Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz until the end of this season, per the official announcement.
Last season the 23-year-old spent with Frutti Extra Bursaspor. He averaged 18.7 points (60% 3PT), 2 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 22.3 EFF over three 7DAYS EuroCup games.
The 1.83-meter point guard posted 9.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 18 Basketball Super League contests.
Before coming to Turkey, the American athlete went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft.
After that, he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the New York Knicks and was waived later.
Then, the guard joined Knicks NBA G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks.
During the shortened 2019-20 G League season, Peters registered 17.8 points, 7.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game, shooting 42% from the field and 40% from deep.
The player will arrive in Vitoria in the next few days to join training under Dusko Ivanovic.
