The surgery will be performed in the USA, in Chicago specifically, by doctor Brian J.Cole, as agreed by both sides.

Peters has been dealing with a meniscus injury since the preseason but originally the club decided to follow a conservative treatment without opting for surgery. The treatment, though, didn't give the result that the team was looking for and the surgery remained the last option.

Peters joined Baskonia after spending the past season in Turkey with Anadolu Efes, where he averaged 11.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in the Turkish league.
