Napoli Basket (2-3) defeated Virtus Segafredo Bologna (4-1) 92-89 (23-20, 25-17, 21-20, 24-31) in a narrow Lega Basket Serie A game. It was the first setback for the EuroCup team this season.
Even though Virtus had an 11-point deficit (37-48) after 20 minutes of playing, they came back to the game in the third. The Italian powerhouse cut their deficit to just one point (52-53).
However, it was a temporary success. Napoli Basket spurted again and restored a double-digit lead (64-54). Nevertheless, Virtus erased the deficit to one point one more time (87-88) in the crunch. Though, Napoli converted crucial free throws and secured a tough victory.
