The Russian champions led by Will Clyburn won the duel 88-82 (20-25, 28-13, 18-21, 22-23).

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Tyler Dorsey and Livio Jean-Charles made the baskets, and Olympiacos cut the deficit to 4 points (65-69).

Just a few moments after, CSKA made another run. Alexey Shved made three free throws, Clyburn and Joel Bolomoy made the shots from deep, and with 5:39 left to play, CSKA were leading by 12 (78-66).

Olympiacos cut CSKA‘s lead to single-digit again, but the Moscow club managed to hold off and celebrated another victory.

Clyburn finished the game with 29 points (6/8 2PT, 3/7 3PT, 8/8 FT), 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 7 drawn fouls, 2 turnovers, and 33 PIR.

Meanwhile, Olympiacos were led by Dorsey, who scored 32 points (4/4 2PT, 7/10 3PT, 3/5 FT) and added 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 drawn fouls, 3 turnovers, and 34 PIR.

32 points are the new Dorsey’s career-high. Back in January, the American guard scored 30 points against Real Madrid.

"Hustle, hustle, hustle, and hustle, Dimitris Itoudis named the main reason for the victory. "We opened the game very badly in the first minutes. It was kind of like we were playing a friendly game. Even in friendly games, we don't play like that."

"We got loose and tried to catch the rhythm. We realized that we had to play more aggressively and more physically, and I have to congratulate the team from the bottom of my heart," CSKA's head coach added.

Kenneth Faried made his EuroLeague debut and in 2 minutes he didn’t score (0/2 2PT), but grabbed 1 rebound, committed 1 foul, and finished the game with -2 PIR.

"Our defensive effort was the key. It wasn't enough," Bartzokas noted. "Obviously, CSKA scored almost 90 points and we allowed Clyburn to make whatever he wanted inside the court. We needed to be more solid defensively if we wanted to win this game."

After a successful second quarter, CSKA continued their dominance in the third quarter. Clyburn sank a 3-pointer, Bolomboy added a basket from inside the paint, Johannes Voigtmann made another bucket from deep, and the hosts increased their lead to 15 points (64-49).

Despite that, Olympiacos managed to make a comeback. Moustapha Fall made the free throws, Tyler Dorsey added a 3-pointer, Livio Jean-Charles also made a basket, and the visitors cut the deficit to 7 points (59-66).

The beginning of the game looked promising for the visitors as Tyler Dorsey scored 14 points, and after Thomas Walkup's 2-pointer, Olympiacos were leading 23-12.

However, just before the end of the first period, CSKA answered with an 8-2 run and came back to the game (20-25).

The hosts took over in the second quarter. Joel Bolomboy finished the play in the paint, Will Clyburn added a jumper, Daniel Hackett and Alexey Shved knocked down a 3-pointer, and CSKA finished the first half with a 13-5 run to increase their lead to 10 just before halftime (48-38).

CSKA played Olympiacos without Tornike Shengelia, Nikola Milutinov, and Marius Grigonis, who are sidelined due to injuries.

CSKA: Will Clyburn 29 (6/8 2PT, 32 PIR), Iffe Lundberg 16 (5/6 2PT), Joel Bolomboy 16 (6/8 2PT), Nikita Kurbanov 10, Alexey Shved 10 (2/7 2PT, 1/5 3PT).

Olympiacos: Tyler Dorsey 32 (4/4 2PT, 7/10 3PT, 34 PIR), Livio Jean-Charles 11 (4/4 2PT).
