Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (1-0) took down Herbalife Gran Canaria (0-1) 79-77 (20-30, 27-18, 16-17, 16-12) in the last second thriller of the new 7DAYS EuroCup season.

The match was tied at 72 with 4:30 left to play. Nicolas Brussino scored 5 points in a row (77-72). However, Edo Muric responded with a two-pointer, and Jacob Pullen hit a trey. The score was equal again (77-77) with 42 seconds to go.

That was not an end for a crunch time Cedevita run, as Melvin Ejim scored 2 points from the charity stripe (79-77). The Slovenian club got crucial stops on the defensive end and secured a nail-biting victory.

Jacob Pullen was a top performer for Cedevita Olimpija. He registered 27 points (2/4 2PT, 6/9 3PT, 5/5 FT), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 26 PIR.

Gran Canaria created a 16-point lead (30-14) in the first quarter, but Cedevita Olimpija answered with their successful stretch in the second period, cutting the deficit to just one point (43-44). Later, the game went back and forth.
