CSKA finished the first quarter on a 13-2 run to gain a nine-point lead (25-16), never giving their advantage up. Perm managed to cut their deficit to 11 in the fourth period, but the Red Army went on another spurt to gain a 23-point lead and put the hosts away (74-51).
