FC Barcelona (3-0) will visit Monaco for the first time ever. Actually, there's no precedent for this game. The Blaugranas want to remain undefeated in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.
Before the upcoming game, Sarunas Jasikevicius spoke about AS Monaco's new project.
"They have an ambitious project. You just need to see what players they have added this summer," Jasikevicius said. "Motiejunas, James, Westermann, Thomas... It speaks by itself. They have a lot of shooters, also guys who have been in important teams in the past".
The Lithuanian head coach also praised its competitive attitude in this first Euroleague three rounds.
"They won both two first games and competed until the end in Madrid, which is not easy. They came back for a 25 deficit and could have won the match. They are a serious team," Saras added.
Asked about the previous game against Olympiacos, decided in overtime with two Oriola free throws, Jasikevicius was happy but critical.
"We won, but we need to play better, especially on offense."
For his part, Kyle Kuric said: "It is an important game on the road against a really talented team. We will need to play hard. We came from a high demanding game against Olympiacos. It won't be easy".
FC Barcelona will face AS Monaco on Friday evening (7 pm CET).
