Coach Tyronn Lue rested most of his starters, and his players allowed 40 points in the second quarter, letting the Timberwolves go in the locker room with a 10-points lead after the first 20 minutes.
Minnesota continued their good form also in the second half, consolidating their lead and expanding it in the final quarter.
D'Angelo Russell was the top scorer of the Timberwolves with 19 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards added 17 points apiece.
