The Miami Heat (4-0) won a very contested preseason game against the Charlotte Hornets (1-2) with the final score of 104-103 (27-24, 20-29, 30-25, 27-25). 

Rookie Javonte Smart scored a clutch basket with just 7.8 seconds left on the clock and gave Miami the lead (104-103). Miami finished the game with a 13-0 run. 

Charlotte had finished the first half by 6 points and looked in control of the game in the last quarter but in the end, they weren't able to contain Miami's comeback, which was sparkled by their second unit. 

Bam Adebayo was the top scorer for Miami with 18 points and 5 rebounds, while Kyle Lowry added 15 points and 5 assists.

For the Hornets, the top scorer was Miles Bridges, who finished with a double-double, 22 points and 10 rebounds.

LaMelo Ball got close to a triple-double and finished the game with 19 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds.
