Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash said that Kyrie Irving will not take part in the team's home games in the upcoming NBA season.

"I think we recognize he’s not playing home games. We’re going to have to for sure play without him this year. So it just depends on when, where and how much," he told Brian Lewis of the New York Post.
Irving has remained steadfast that he will not get the vaccination against Covid. If he continues to hold out and miss the Nets' 41 home games, Irving would lose more than $15.5 million.
The All-Star point guard is under contract for $34.9 million in 2021-22. Every vaccination-related absence costs him around $381 thousand.
