After Nikola Milutinov suffered an injury in CSKA Moscow's first Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game and was ruled out indefinitely, the Russian powerhouse decided to bolster their frontcourt.

CSKA announced on Saturday that they are bringing in former NBA player and World Champion Kenneth Faried to a two-month contract with the option to extend the partnership until the end of the season.
The news were first broken by Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
Faried will reportedly be bought out of his current contract with Leones de Ponce of Puerto Rico. This season, the 31-year-old appeared in three games for the team, averaging 12.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 16.3 PIR.
Faried represented Zhejiang Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association last season, averaging 17.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals, 2.4 blocks, and 20.3 PIR.
Faried played in the NBA Summer League this summer, representing the Portland Trail Blazers and accumulating 5.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks over three games.
The 2.03 m big man had his best NBA season in 2013-14, putting up 13.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists for the Denver Nuggets.
He has appeared in 478 NBA games, averaging 11.4 points and 7.7 rebounds. Faried also represented the Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets in the past.
Faried helped Team USA win gold medals at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. He averaged 12.2 points and 7.7 rebounds in the tournament.
