Fenerbahce Istanbul came very close to taking the win at OAKA against Panathinaikos, but the hosts rallied in the last seconds, hitting all seven free throws and overturning the situation (91-87).

Aleksandar Djordjevic used his words carefully in the post-game presser following the game, referring to the officiating and the decisions that judged the winner.

The Serbian coach focused not on the two unsportsmanlike fouls called on Guduric and Vesely but his players' bad decisions down the stretch.

"Congratulations to the team that won. It was a good and hard game, as we expected. We were in control in the second half, and we made the right decisions. But they pressured us to the end.

As a coach of the team that lost, I cannot say how I feel until I see in the video what exactly happened. I do not know what to say exactly. I think of mixed things. I do not want to say anything that could be wrong to the athletes and the team that won.

I always want the games to be fair. I do not think that fair play was observed against us throughout the match. We have to live with unsportsmanlike fouls or an unsportsmanlike foul with 2.9 seconds left.

We should have finished the match differently. We did not make the right decisions in the end, the game could have gone differently. That's how basketball is," the former Panathinaikos coach said.

Referring to the crazy last minute of the game, Djordjevic commented:

"I know what happened, but I have to watch the video to clear things up and confirm. Certainly, we did not want to end the game like that, we had to close it differently. Experience helps you make the right decisions.

For example, Guduric's fifth foul should have been done differently. It is difficult to teach this to players. They have to understand it and carry it with them. The same goes for Nando De Colo's pass in the last minute. We have experienced players, we had to handle the match differently," the coach of the Turkish side concluded.
