"I would like to congratulate my players on this win. We played a good game, a great game, even," Radonjic said after the victory. "It was a very particular situation given the number of the injured players, but we have found the energy and played smart defensively. We have managed to fully realize on the court everything we planned before the match."

Radonjic then focused on the defensive aspect of his team but at the same time highlighting the success on the offensive end as well.

"After the first half, it was clear that we could expect more pressure from Maccabi. However, we continued with our good defense moving forward. We have also done many good things in the offense. A great win, especially considering the circumstances."

Nate Wolters who finished the game with 17 points, 4 assists, and 19 PIR also was praised by the Montenegrin coach.

"This was his best match for Zvezda, not just this season. First, he was late for the team prep, then he got injured, but now he is motivated and I hope he continues the way we saw him tonight," Radonjic concluded.

Crvena Zvezda’s MVP of the night and fan-favorite Nikola Kalinic, who scored 19 points and added 5 assists and 5 rebounds, confirmed Radonjic's sentiment and expressed optimism for the upcoming matches.

“We played firmly and tried to be good defensively - that’s our signature. Currently, we’re feeling very well. I believe that we can continue playing at this pace,” said Kalinić in his post-match interview.

This is Zvezda’s first Euroleague win in the 2021-22 season, as they await Zalgiris on the Red and White’s home court in Belgrade next week.
