After Pau Gasol announced his retirement yesterday, the basketball community started congratulating him on a fantastic career.
Jeanie Buss, the President of the Los Angeles Lakers, was no exception. She said on Twitter that the team is planning to retire Gasol's jersey.
Gasol spent seven seasons with the Lakers, helping the team to win two consecutive NBA championships. Pau is also a six-time All-Star, the 2002 Rookie of the Year, two-time All-NBA Second Team, and two-time Third Team member.
He averaged 17.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 blocks over 429 games with the purple and gold jersey.
