They have also dealt the rights to Juan Pablo Vaulet to the Indiana Pacers in return for Edmond Sumner and a 2025 Heat second rounder.
The Nets intend to waive Sumner, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. With these moves, the team is set to save over $8 million in luxury taxes
20-year-old Sekou Doumbouya averaged 5.1 points and 2.6 over 15.5 minutes for the Pistons last season. He was sent to Brooklyn in a trade revolving around DeAndre Jordan.
Sumner started 24 games for the Pacers last season, averaging 7.5 points per game in 53 contests overall. The 25-year-old tore his Achilles tendon during the off-season.
