With the help of four this year's draft picks, the Houston Rockets defeated the Washington Wizards 125-119 (30-23, 27-37, 34-31, 34-28).

The 2nd overall pick, Jalen Green, finished the game with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Alperen Sengun added 5 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.

Kevin Porter Jr. led the Rockets with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.

Usman Garuba supplied 5 points and 1 rebound, while Josh Christopher added 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

On the opposing side, Bradley Beal led his team with 18 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Kyle Kuzma, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Montrezl Harrel made their Wizards debut. Kuzma ended with 11 points and 6 rebounds, Dinwiddie had 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists, with Harrell adding 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists.
