The San Antonio Spurs started their preseason with a win at home against the Utah Jazz with a final score of 111-85(18-24, 20-25, 23-38, 24-24)

After playing a solid first half and finishing up by 11 points, the Spurs killed the game in the third quarter when they scored 38 points and put the Jazz at a safety distance. 

Utah played the game without some of their key players, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Rudy Gay were all missing. The Spurs rested Al-Farouq Aminu and Thad Young. 

Dejounte Murray and rookie Joshua Primo were the difference-makers for the San Antonio Spurs, and both finished with 17 points apiece. 

For the Utah Jazz, Jared Butler was the top scorer of the night with 16 points, while star Donovan Mitchell finished with 10 points in 22 minutes.
