The NBA and NBPA reached an agreement on the fines administered to players for missing games because of being unvaccinated.

ESPN reports that each player will lose about 1.1% of their salary for each absence.

Unvaccinated players will not be allowed to play in home games according to the local mandate of the city their team plays in.

New York and San Francisco currently don't allow unvaccinated athletes to compete in home games. Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets is one of the league's biggest advocates against vaccines. He would be forced to give up about $381 thousand for missing a game for this reason.

The guard is set to earn more than $35 million in the upcoming season.

Andrew Wiggins of the Golden State Warriors was also reluctant to get vaccinated. However, with the new rules in place, he decided to get the shot last week.
