Before the upcoming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague start, Maik Zirbes got a positive COVID-19 test, according to MozzartSport.

The hope that Zirbes will still be among tonight's passengers for Istanbul still exists, since the German has been tested for the second time, so official results are awaited.

If the result is positive again, the 31-year-old will be quarantined and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade will meet Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul with only one classic center, Ognjen Kuzmic.

Match-up between Zvezda and Fener is scheduled for October 1.

In the first 2021-22 Adriatic League game, Zirbes scored 12 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished 3 assists.
