UNICS Kazan (2-0) crushed Zielona Gora (0-2) 92-63 (22-21, 25-18, 21-11, 24-13) to stay undefeated in the VTB United League.

UNICS laid the foundation for victory at the start of the second quarter, arranging a 12-3 run thanks to Hezonja, Brown, Klimenko, and Canaan.

Kazan's club did not release the accelerator pedal in the third period. They finished the quarter on a high note, outscoring Gora by 10 points (12-2). Jekiri and Vorontsevich contributed to the crucial spurt which buried all the Poland team's thoughts of victory.

Even though the fourth period was a mere formality, Perasovic's squad started the last 10 minutes with a 10-0 push (78-50).

For the winners, Mario Hezonja scored 15 points (4/6 2PT, 0/3 3PT, 7/7 FT), grabbed 9 rebounds, dished 4 assists, and accumulated 24 EFF.

Nemanja Nenadic led the way for Zielona Gora, posting 13 points (4/7 2PT, 1/1 3PT), 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.
