Caris LeVert has a stress fracture in his back, but there's optimism that it could only be a minor setback, and he could return sometime around the start of the season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. More testing is still to come on the stress fracture.

Last season LeVert (27, 1.98) split time between the Brooklyn Nets and the Indiana Pacers. In total, he played 47 games and averaged 20.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.

On January 8, with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Tyler Johnson all being sidelined, LeVert posted a career-best 7 three-point shots on 9 attempts as part of a 43-point effort against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 20th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft has career averages of 14.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per 260 contests.
