After accepting Jasmin Repesa's resignation, Fortitudo Bologna already found a new coach and, just like Repesa, he's someone who already knows the city quite a bit. The Italian team announced Antimo Martino as the new head coach.

Martino worked already for Fortitudo Bologna from 2018 to 2020. He was the coach that brought Fortitudo back to the top division in 2019. After only one season in Serie A, though, Bologna's club decided not to keep him.

In the past season, Martino coached Reggio Emilia but was fired in March due to the team's poor performances.

Fortitudo lost the first game of Serie A at home against Reggio Emilia.
