Svetislav Pesic is coming back to international basketball.

Serbian basketball federation announced that a 72-years-old specialist will replace Igor Kokoskov as a head coach of the national team.

Pesic will make his debut in November when Serbia face Latvia in the qualifiers of FIBA World Cup 2023.

Earlier it was reported that Pesic, before accepted the offer, had his conditions and wanted to pick his staff and the sports director of the national team.

Pesic won the European Championship in 2001 and the FIBA World Cup in 2002 as head coach of the Yugoslavia national team.
