After all the noise about his salary reduction with FC Barcelona, Nikola Mirotic has begun the season, showing how impactful he is on the court.

In the first three Spanish ACB league games, the Montenegrian power-forward has led Barca to three victories in a row, averaging 18 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 27.7 PIR over 26 minutes.
He has been awarded two Game Round MVPs so far (sharing the Game Round 2 MVP with Brazilian guard Bruno Fitipaldo, Lenovo Tenerife).
"He is really focused on his game, being aggressive on defense and dominant where he is good at," said FC Barcelona coach Sarunas Jasikevicius after the game against Rio Breogan.
Mirotic was unstoppable near the rim, forcing up to 10 fouls and shooting 14 free throws (scoring 11). He finished with 22 points.
A few days ago, at Gran Canaria, Mirotic went on a career-high in rebounds (16), improving his previous record in ACB League (14), adding 14 points.
"It has been a great match, we made a great effort to overcome a tough rival. I'm really happy here, doing what I love the most", explained Niko in the mixed zone.
The Euroleague captains survey named Mirotic as the hungriest player to come back this season. Let's see if they were right.
