Zalgiris Kaunas will be playing ASVEL Basket Friday night in their EuroLeague opener but will have to do it without their captain Paulius Jankunas.

Jankunas will not be traveling to France with the Lithuanian powerhouse, as he suffered a calf injury and will be out of action for the next ten days.
He will definitely miss tonight's game against Lietkabelis and try to be back for the EuroLeague 2nd round game vs. Zenit St. Petersburg.
Last season, Lithuanian forward 3,9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.1 EFF in 34 EuroLeague games.
Jankunas, 37, has played for Zalgiris through almost his entire career, with the exception of the 2009-10 campaign when he moved to Khimki.
He earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2018, in which he participated in the only Final Four of his 18-year-long playing time.
