After announcing a couple of months ago his retirement from basketball, Greek big man Ioannis Bourousis changed his mind.
The player announced through his Instagram profile that he will play for his hometown team Karditsa, which currently participates in the Greek second division.
"Having great respect for the effort of my hometown's club, in which I took the first steps of my career, I feel desire and the need to contribute with my experience in the A2 division", Bourousis wrote on Instagram.
The Greek legend spent last season with Peristeri in the Greek top division, averaging 7.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
During his career, Bourousis has played for some of the most important clubs in Europe, including Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Real Madrid, Olimpia Milan, Real Madrid, and Baskonia. The big man also spent a couple of seasons in China.
