French Turkish Airlines EuroLeague club ASVEL officially announced the signing of veteran big man James Gist until the end of the year. The arrival of Gist will help the team in covering the absences of some players in the frontcourt due to injuries.
Gist spent last season with Bayern Munich in Germany, where he averaged 5.6 points and 3 rebounds per game in EuroLeague. With the jersey of Panathinaikos, where he played from 2012 to 2019, Gist won 5 Greek leagues and 6 Greek cups.
Before joining Bayern Munich last season, Gist was coming from KK Crvena Zvezda, where he spent his first season after his long stint with Panathinaikos.
ASVEL begin its EuroLeague season on October 1st, playing at home against Zalgiris Kaunas.
