One of the most important pending cases for Olympiacos Piraeus has reached a happy ending since the Greek powerhouse officially re-signed Sasha Vezenkov to an extension until the summer of 2024.

According to gazzetta.gr, the agreement between the two sides essentially includes an extension of the existing one and a total salary of about 2,700,000 euros for three years (starting this season). A specific NBA out clause has been inserted in case a franchise would be interested in acquiring the 25-year-old forward.
Vezenkov finished the 2020-21 season with 11.5 points on 50% two-point shooting, 43% three-point shooting, 5.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.5 turnovers. He was the Reds' first scorer and rebounder.
The deal acquires an additional value for Olympiacos in the long run since after Spanoulis's retirement and with Printezis heading for the last season of his career, the Piraeus-based team needed some new reference points.
Vezenkov, a holder of a Greek passport, has been with the Reds since 2018 and seems to get better every year. That's why the Angelopoulos brothers wanted to get the case done as soon as possible, extending Vezenkov's contract and excluding the possibility of him going free on the market next summer.
