Andrew Wiggins is yet to receive the vaccine for Covid-19, and the Warriors are worried about whether they will be able to use him when the new NBA season starts.

The Golden State Warriors small forward has not yet shown a willingness to be vaccinated, with San Francisco rules not allowing anyone to enter an indoor or enclosed area without a vaccination certificate.

The San Francisco Department of Public Health said it would not comment on Wiggins's specific situation and whether the Canadian forward will be granted a religious exemption by the NBA.

"We are actively addressing the issue of requests for a religious exemption from vaccinations in many industries and will work with our business and entertainment community on the next steps, "the San Francisco Department of Public Health said in a statement. "We will give further clarification on this matter."

Wiggins would lose more than $350 thousand for every game he would be forced to miss. The Warriors recently put Wiggins in touch with a doctor from Oakland who is taking up issues involving the hesitation of some players to get vaccinated. But Wiggins remains steadfast in his anti-vaccination decision.
