CSKA Moscow head coach Dimitris Itoudis could become the new coach of the Greek National Team, reports.

The new President of the Greek Basketball Federation, Vangelis Liolios, would reportedly like to start his tenure by hiring a new general for the country's NT.

Itoudis is arguably the best Greek coach at the moment, having won two Turkish Airlines EuroLeague titles and two Coach of the Year awards with CSKA in recent years.

While coaching in the EuroLeague would prevent him from leading Greece in the upcoming FIBA windows, Itoudis could take over during summer tournaments, like the forthcoming 2022 EuroBasket.

This would be nothing new in Greece, as the former head coach Rick Pitino also didn't work during FIBA windows but coached the team at the 2021 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament during the summer.
