Olympiakos Piraeus defeated Kolossos Rhodes 94-67 (28-26, 25-16, 13-6, 28-19) to advance to the second round of the Greek Cup, where they will face the winner of the Maroussi - Iraklis matchup.

The first ten minutes were balanced (28-26), however, the entry of Giannoulis Larentzakis changed the match. The "red and whites" found the rhythm on defense and went on a 13-4 run to build an 11-point lead (41-30). With the help of Livio Jean-Charles Olympiakos increased the lead even more and maintained control until the end of the first half (53-42).

Giorgos Bartzokas team returned after halftime with even more energy. Led by Thomas Walkup, Olympiacos went on a 9-0 run to increase the lead to 20 points (62-42).

The Kolossos took advantage of the defensive relaxation of Olympiacos and cut their deficit to just 13 points midway through the fourth quarter (60-73). But the "red and whites" started pressing on defense, moved the ball well, and secured the victory.
