Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (1-0) kicked off their performance at the Cevat Soydas Tournament in Bursa with a victory over Turk Telekom (0-1) 83-62 (16-8, 17-18, 21-24, 29-12).

Fenerbahce started the game well and locked their opponents down defensively, allowing only eight points in the first quarter.

Turk Telekom did not roll over and were solid at the start of the second period. A 7-0 run brought them within one (16-15). However, Fenerbahce answered and regained control of the game, finish the first half with a seven-point lead (33-26).

Their opponents showed resilience once again, completing another run and gaining their first lead of the game (39-40). Fenerbahce finished the period on a high note, regaining the lead and being up by four points after the third quarter (54-50).

The Turkish powerhouse kicked into high gear in the final period and repeating the first quarter's defensive success. Not only that, Fenerbahce were firing on all cylinders on the offensive end too, scoring 29 points against 12 from Turk Telekom and winning comfortably.

Fenerbahce will take on Bahcesehir Koleji in their second friendly game of the tournament tomorrow.
