Rudy Fernandez suffered a slight sprain to the internal lateral ligament in his left knee and will only be out for a few days, according to the Spanish media.

Fernandez was forced to exit the semifinal of the Super Cup where Real Madrid competed against Lenovo Tenerife.

After the game on Saturday, Pablo Laso believed that Fernandez's injury was not a serious one: "Rudy is not going to play but it's not a big blow or a hyperextension of the knee. We believe is not a serious injury."

Fernandez (36, 1.96) is one of the most decorated players in Europe and is in his 11th season with the Spanish squad. In the past EuroLeague season, the veteran averaged 5.5 points per game while shooting 34.6% from the 3-point line.

Real have finished the pre-season stage. They start the Liga Endesa season at home on September 19 against Hereda San Pablo Burgos.
