Parma Perm have announced that their coach Kazys Maksvytis will lead Lithuania from now on. The 44-year-old specialist will have to balance his duties at the Russian club and the Lithuanian NT.

Maksvytis was the head coach of Lithuania's youth National Teams that went on to win the 2008 U16 European Championship, the 2010 U18 European Championship, the 2011 U20 World Championship, and the 2012 U20 European Championship.

He had current national team players Jonas ValanciunasEdgaras UlanovasArnas Butkevicius, and Rokas Giedraitis on his youth squads.

Maksvytis' next major challenge with Lithuania will come in 2022 when he leads the squad in the 2022 EuroBasket. Lithuania will play in Group B, where they will face Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Hungary, Germany, and Slovenia.
