Bayern played well in the first half as they won both periods. The German team scored 37 while allowing Zvezda only to collect 24 points after two quarters.

The Germans continued to control the game to start the second half and held a 14-point advantage with less than 5 minutes to go (30-44). Their advantage ballooned to 15 with 9 minutes left in the final period (42-57), but that was not enough to seal the game for Bayern.

The Serbian powerhouse went on a huge run and tied the game at 62 with 2:21 remaining in the final frame. On top of that, Luka Mitrovic and Nikola Ivanovic gave their team a four-point advantage with 1:03 to go (68-64).

Augustin Rubit hit his signature fall-away post jumper to tie the game at 68. However, the Serbs still had 4.1 seconds to answer back. That turned out to be enough, as Mitrovic's drive and last-second layup brought Crvena Zvezda a win.

Crvena Zvezda: Nikola Kalinic 14, Luka Mitrovic 12 (9 REB), Nate Wolters 9, Stefan Lazarevic 9, Austin Hollins 8, Nikola Ivanovic 7.

Bayern: Augustine Rubit 16 (8 REB), Deshaun Thomas 12, Darrun Hilliard 12, Nick Weiler-Babb 8 (5 assists), Zan Sisko 7.
