Perhaps Megabolt Lavrio weren't a proper replacement for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, as CSKA Moscow demolished them 107-68 (31-13, 24-17, 28-20, 24-18).
CSKA started the game on a tear. First, they went on a 13-0 run, and after Lavrio managed to get their first bucket, CSKA continued with a 24-2 opening salvo. The opening quarter ended with a score of 31-13.
In the second quarter, Lavrio settled in and at one point were able to get within ten points of CSKA (28-38). But the Russian powerhouse stepped on the gas again and increased the lead to over 20 points (55-30).
The situation didn't change after halftime. CSKA's offensive potential was on full display, which was seemingly admired by Lavrio players as well. After three quarters, the Moscow team appeared well on its way to 100 points (83-50). They reached 100 safely and finished the game with the largest lead, 39 points.
CSKA: Andrey Lopatin (7 REB), Nikola Milutinov 15, Ilge Lundberg 14, Marius Grigonis 13, Alexander Khomenko 10.
Lavrio: Jerry Smith 16, Tyson Carter 11.
