Anadolu Efes Istanbul went on a 13-0 run at the end of the fourth to kick off their Gloria Cup performance with a 90-84 (24-16, 17-29, 21-26, 28-13) victory over fellow Turkish club, Tofas Bursa.

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champions started the match off strong and quickly gained a 17-7 lead. They ended up leading by 8 at the end of one.

Tofas answered back in the second quarter, tying the game and later gaining an advantage. They were up by four going into halftime (41-45).

Efes managed to cut their deficit to a single point at the start of the fourth, but Tofas were unwilling to give up their lead. Instead, they managed to increase their lead and had a 9-point advantage after three periods.

Tofas maintained a solid lead for the majority of the last quarter, however, Efes mustered a strong push during the last four minutes of the game and went on a 13-0 run to regain an advantage with two minutes left (83-82). Efes managed to solidify their lead even further and came away with a 90-84 victory.
