American guard Mike James, who's still under contract with CSKA Moscow and is training separately from the first team, took part in an exhibition game played by CSKA's youth team, CSKA-2, against Samara.

James had 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 blocks. The situation of the American player for the next season is still surrounded by uncertainty. He's under contract with CSKA until 2023 but so far the two sides haven't been able to find an agreement to terminate the deal.

The guard played the final part of last season with the Brooklyn Nets after leaving CSKA Moscow due to issues with head coach Dimitris Itoudis. At least for the moment, the Russian club doesn't plan on involving the player again with the first team, especially after the addition of another leading guard Alexey Shved.
