Rajon Rondo is returning to Los Angeles after a one-year break.

The 35-year-old floor general agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The deal will become official once the Memphis Grizzlies buy out his contract.

Rondo started last season with the Atlanta Hawks but was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in March. The Clippers traded Rondo to Memphis in the middle of August.

Rondo wore purple and gold from 2018 to 2020 and helped the team win an NBA championship in his second season.

The veteran averaged 5.1 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.5 rebounds over 17 minutes last year.
