Nico Mannion's performance at the Tokyo Olympics has attracted many eyes, including Virtus Bologna's. The team is looking into the possibility of signing him, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando reports.

Virtus' interest in locking up Mannion increased after their first choice, Chris Chiozza, signed a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors.

However, it may be difficult for Virtus to ink Mannion because the Warriors have presented the Italian guard with a qualifying offer. He is a restricted free agent, meaning the Warriors have can retain him by matching the terms of another team's offer.

The 48th pick of the 2020 NBA Draft averaged 12.5 points 1.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 11,3 PIR in the Tokyo Olympics.

He averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 assists over 30 games with the Warriors last season. The 20-year-old was putting up 19.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League last year.
