Kevin Durant headlines the All-Star Five. He was selected as the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Basketball Tournament MVP. The American forward averaged 20.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists to lead Team USA to their fourth straight Olympic gold medals.

Durant was a member of the last three golden US teams. He scored 30 points in both the 2012 London Olympic final and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic final.

This summer, the 32-year-old became the all-time leading scorer for Team USA, the team this summer, surpassing Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James. Durant scored 29 points in the final against France.

The remaining four players, honored for their performance during the Tokyo Olympics, are Ricky Rubio, Patty Mills, Luka Doncic, and Rudy Gobert.

Rubio was the leader for Spain, averaging 25.5 points (48% 3PT), 3.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 24 PIR. He led his team into the quarter-final, where the eventual champions, Team USA, defeated Spain.

Patty Mills also made the Five, accumulating 26.8 points (34% 3PT), 3.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 22.3 PIR. The 32-year-old recorded the best scoring match in Olympic bronze game history, putting up 42 points to lead Australia to their first-ever international medals.

Luka Doncic was named one of the best Olympic players as well. The 22-year-old averaged 23.8 points (30% 3PT), 9.7 rebounds, 9.5 assists, 4.2 turnovers, and 29.2 PIR. Doncic scored 48 points in his Olympic debut, thereby recording the second-best scoring game in the history of the Olympics and falling short only to Oscar Schmidt's record of 55 points. Unfortunately, his effort wasn't enough for Slovenia to step on the winner's podium. The 2017 EuroBasket champions fell short to Patty Mills' led Australia in the bronze final.

Rudy Gobert was named the best center of the Olympics, accumulating 10.2 points (58% 2PT), 9.4 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, and 16.2 PIR. He propelled France to the silver awards, having lost to Team USA at the final.
