Restricted free agent John Collins and the Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a five-year contract, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski report.

Collins' (23, 2.06) deal is for $125 million and includes a player option for the fifth year.

The forward has emerged as a valuable member of the Hawks' young core. He averaged 17.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in 63 games (all starts) last season to help the Hawks advance to the Eastern Conference finals. He also shot 55.6% from the field and 39.9% from the 3-point range.

The Wake Forest product has averaged 16.6 points and 8.4 boards in 239 career games (189 starts) since being selected by Atlanta with the 19th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
