After seemingly recovering from a shoulder injury in time for the Olympics, Juancho Hernangomez has been ruled out.

Despite being cleared to play by the Spanish NT doctors, The Minnesota Timberwolves didn't allow for Hernangomez to participate in the Olympics.

Valencia Basket's forward Xabi Lopez-Arostegui is set to replace Hernangomez on Spain's roster.

Hernangomez sustained a grade 4-5 acromioclavicular dislocation of his left shoulder during a friendly match against France on July 8. The 25-year-old forward was initially ruled out from the Olympics. However, he traveled to Tokyo with Spain and planned to play.
