Tomas Satoransky will be a flag bearer for the Czech Republic during the Tokyo Olympic Games opening ceremony.

“What a huge honor for me! And especially going along with 2-time Wimbledon champion and bronze medalist Petra Kvitova!” Satoransky tweeted.

The Chicago Bulls point guard led his country to the first Olympic Games ever. In the Qualifiers tournament in Victoria, Satoransky averaged 16 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.

Satoransky will be the 9th basketball player, who will carry their country flag. The Czech will join Japan’s Rui Hachimura, Australia’s Patty Mills, USA’s Sue Bird, Canada’s Miranda Ayim, Serbia’s Sanja Vasic, Iran’s Samad Nikkhah Bahrami, and two 3x3 players: Agnis Cavars from Latvia, and Khulan Onolbaatar from Mongolia.
